The rectangular Amahai tray, crafted from handcrafted reddish-brown rattan, is the ideal household helper. Our trays are made of plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully of nature.
Rattan palms typically grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants that take up space from other plants and draw nutrients from the soil. The stems, which regrow quickly without chemical agents, should be cut regularly and, after drying, can be used as material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan a highly durable and abundant material.

Production location:
This tray is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we employ only mature and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process. Because all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
