Taman stands out from our other wall decor pieces with its three colors. The base material is sturdy and durable banana fiber. A creatively designed pattern of white and black cotton cords is embroidered onto the fiber, making it a real eye-catcher.
The round wall decor has an eyelet on the back, so you can easily hang it in your favorite spot. Because Taman is available in two different sizes, you can be sure to find the right version for your home.

Main Material: Banana Fiber
Banana fibers are fibers from the layered trunks of banana trees used in agriculture. The intense brown color develops naturally when the fibers are dried in the sun for about a week. The individual strips are then rolled into the characteristic, approximately 6 mm thick strands. Only old, dying banana trees are used for this material. This gives these plants a second life as a dimensionally stable and robust raw material for many handmade baskets here at Soeji.

This wall art is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair wages and good working conditions. Only mature and experienced artisans work at the companies where we source our goods. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process. Because all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
