The seagrass used by our production partners grows in dense meadows on the seabed in coastal areas of the Indian Ocean. The long, flexible leaves are carefully harvested by hand, cut into narrow strips, and then gently dried. This natural process gives the material its characteristic strength and durable structure, making it ideal for crafting high-quality handmade products. Thanks to its natural beauty and eco-friendliness, seagrass is the perfect choice for stylish, sustainable accessories that combine aesthetics with environmental responsibility.

When selecting our local production partners in Indonesia, we emphasize fair pay, safe working conditions, and reasonable working hours. We work exclusively with small family businesses with a maximum of 20 to 30 employees. They are all experienced craftspeople of legal age. Older people, in particular, who can no longer work in agriculture, benefit from jobs in the craft sector, allowing them to use the skills they learned from a young age to earn money and pass on traditional production methods to the younger generation. They have often told us how happy they are to create something meaningful and earn a good income through this work. Because all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process produces minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We guarantee this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the businesses.
